Set up Wi-Fi Calling on Android

Depending on your Android device, the option to enable Wi-Fi calling might be in a different part of your phone's settings. Here are some possible locations:

• Connect to Wi-Fi: Ensure your phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network.
• Open Settings: Go to your phone's main Settings menu.
• Navigate to Wi-Fi calling: Look for the setting in one of these common locations:
  • Network & internet > Calls
  • Connections > Wi-Fi calling
  • More > Advanced Calling
  • Wireless & networks > Wi-Fi Calling
• Enable Wi-Fi calling: Toggle the feature on. You may need to confirm your emergency 911 address if prompted.
• Use the search function: If you can't find the setting, use the search bar at the top of the Settings page and type "Wi-Fi Calling".
• Check your carrier app: Some carriers, like Google Fi, may require you to enable Wi-Fi calling through their specific app instead of the phone's settings. 
  

Still can't find it? Look at the top of the settings page — some versions have a search bar. If yours does, you can search for "Wi-Fi Calling."

After enabling the Wi-Fi calling setting, you may be able to indicate whether you prefer to use Wi-Fi by default even if a cellular network is present, or if you prefer to only use Wi-Fi if no cellular network is present.
